(Updated 21 Jun 09) Welcome to Humor Me Online...go on and check the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest - the winners have been announced. And if you won or were mentioned...let me know - because I'd love to brag about you. :)
If you have any questions or comments, (or to submit your own Intro Blurby idea [shown above...please type "Blurby" in the subject line]) feel free to email us at feedback@humormeonline.com. DOUBLE Rat's Asses will be going out to all the mentions/winners for all the contests we update until the end of June! (Because we didn't update anything for eons...yes, I'm feeling guilty...are you happy now?) Please Note: Our "HMO Newsletter" goes out to those who have registered in our forum. You don't have to participate in the forum (or even check it after) - but registering will allow you to get periodic updates about contests and other HMO happenings sent straight to your email address. Keep in mind we won't overwhelm you with emails...perhaps one every week or two...or three. If you wouldn't mind, if you have never registered at the forum, please take a few moments to do so. If you need any help, please email me at Cadeaux@HumorMeOnline.com for assistance. The mail will be sent from "nobody@hyperboards.com" and the subject line will be "HumorMeOnline Newsletter"...so if you have to "allow emails" from a certain address, please add that one. So be on the lookout for it as stated above, as it does not come straight from HMO because I'm using the forum board to send out the messages as it's much easier for me that way (you only have to add one name Vs me adding them all) - and I would sincerely appreciate it. Thank you. Just for the fun of it, we're going to periodically pick a contest and give you double points if we pick your entry. Check the HMO Info Page - or better yet, just subscribe to our newsletter via the Forum to see when the next time will be and which one it is...'cause we WON'T mention it here. :) Also...HMO is proud to announce we now have an ad! Yes, look to the left side of this page, under the scrolling text and you will see our very first client. If you (or know of someone) would also like to advertise on HMO - or in our soon-to-be newletter, please email us via our feedback link. Oh...and please check out our advertisers...we wouldn't list them here if we didn't think you'd like and use them. Here's a little "movie" of my kitty, Emo, lying in our partially filled bathroom sink with the water running...he doesn't seem to mind and has done it a few times. :)
Well...the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest winners have been picked for 2008...and I just wanted to let everyone know our very own shep@compascable.net got in again as a Dishonorable Mention. Scroll on down until you see the entry from Brent Sheppard...that would be him (see here). Congratulations, Brent! :) First the website, now the online blog for the 'Montgomery Advertiser' newspaper...can a reality TV show be far off? Anyway, since it's been let out of the bag...I have my own blog...feel free to check it out and let me know what you think: My Blog If you have a funny/altered work (of your own)...feel free to send it in...if we use it on the main page, we'll send you an origami as well. No altered images from other sites, please. Our mailing address here at HumorMeOnline...to send cards, gifts, and large sums of cash: HumorMeOnline
For Your Info: If a contest page here seems to be "stuck" and not updated for a while...doing this should always bring up the most current page: Go into the text area of the contest and right click on your mouse...click on "refresh". Just hitting the "reload" button on your toolbar will not always update the page. (You can check the approximate times we update at "Links & Things (and Origami), above.) Most people do not experience any problem with updates, but just in case you are one of the ones who routinely do...that will do the trick. Remember...HMO will never send you any email with an attachment/download...if you get one, it's not from us and is probably a virus, so don't open it.
